Designers Partnerships with Real Stores

Everywhere I turn around, another designer is partnering with main stream stores.  Missoni did it with Target, and Karl Lagerfeld did it with Macy's.  The list goes on and on.

Why do these designers do this?  They want to create clothes for the average person and make sure that they can afford them, too. A lot of these designers sign a multi-million dollar contract with these stores, too.  That doesn't hurt either.

The newest one is Jason Wu for Target.  He designed the dress that Michelle Obama wore for the Inaugural party. The clothing is so cute and so affordable (or it wouldn't be at Target).

Then there's Marni at H&M.  That clothing line will hit the H&M stores on March 8, and they always do a great job when teaming up with a designer.  And most of the time, it sells out in a day.

And here's one for the kids!!  Diane Von Furstenburg has teamed up with Gap to create a clothing line for kids.  DVF loves Gap Kids!!  I got a sneak peak, and it so adorable.  I can't wait until it hits the stores on March 15th!  I will definitely buy something for my daughter.

These store and designer partnerships really have been too good to be true.  You can buy a designer item at a much lower price than their regular lines.  It's good for the designer to get out their name and make a lot of money.

I would definitely check out all of these lines at their respective stores.

Enjoy your day!

Lynn
